The three levels to visit the caves

The Cervo cave is the heart of the Pietrasecca Caves Special Nature Reserve. The environment is preserved in its natural condition: there are no walkways, the cave is not artificially illuminated, the visits take place accompanied by qualified guides. In implementation of the provisions of the L.R. 25/2004, the three levels of visits are articulated with increasing duration and commitment.

The first level visit is accessible to anyone in self-sufficient motor conditions (suitable for walking an easy hiking trail) as long as they are at least 4 years old. Children cannot be held in the arms during the excursion and the maximum collaboration of parents is required in the management of their needs.

The times for the descents are: 10: 00-11.30-15.00-16.30 by telephone booking at no. 3201715968

The caves are open every weekend (Sat-Sun) of the year (except for communications) and on the occasion of special events (adequately advertised). In August they will be open every day

The age limits vary according to the composition and type of the group and its degree of knowledge and homogeneity. More information is given in the cave during the 1st level visit.
The visit takes place along the continuation of the concreted gallery beyond the ancestors’ room where the first visit ended.
The environments are always majestic and the technical difficulties to be faced are resolved in three steps:
– overcoming some rocks where you learn the typical progression of a cave in “opposition”
– ford of a small lake where you bathe at leg height
– overcoming a short bottleneck (similar to going under a table)
The visit to the 2nd level is a more intense cave experience both for its longer duration and for the minimal technical difficulties it offers.
These difficulties have already been extensively tested and overcome with fun by participants of various categories, age groups, etc.

LEVEL 3 VISIT PROGRAM – maximum duration 8 hours (approximately 7 hours of stay in the cave) This is a complete speleological visit with overcoming vertical jumps, long distances in the water, etc. For more information, please call 3201715968.
